Every year we welcome a number of trainees to join our counselling team and accept applications all year round, however, we usually run selection panels in February, May and October. If we are able to be specific about when slots are available, this will be provided below. If you wish to apply, consult this recruitment document and complete our Counsellor/Coach application form which should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a CV and covering letter.
Please note that we follow the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board’s recommendations on safe recruitment, which can make the process between application and start protracted. The process will include:
⦁ Competency Interview
⦁ Personal Interview to assess suitability for working with vulnerable young people
⦁ Satisfactory DBS check
⦁ Completion of two Clinical Supervision sessions
⦁ Two written references with follow-up phone calls
⦁ Work history continuity check
Please note that we only accept trainees for placements if they are on the second year of Level 4 diploma training or above.
